Wycliffe CE Primary School was built in the 1870s and serves the town of Shipley and the village of Saltaire and the wider community. Our school building is bright, airy and consists of 10 classrooms, two libraries, an ICT suite, an office, a staff room, community room, dining room, PE hall and two further separate halls.
Our newly developed Reception classrooms are purpose built, providing bright and stimulating indoor and outdoor classrooms and play area specifically for the educational needs for the Early Years Foundation Stage programme.
Our school is situated on the edge of the picturesque World Heritage village of Saltaire. We have an active parents and friends association, Friends of Wycliffe, who support the school by hosting fundraising activities including, fetes and events. Our grounds are also home to an outdoor trim trail play area (currently under development), garden and further outside learning environment. The location is ideal for environmental and wildlife studies. The school has strong links with the local community, sharing social occasions with local groups.
Close links with secondary schools in the area, including Titus Salt School, enable us to prepare pupils for a smooth transition to secondary education.
