Faith and Culture Presentations

Year 4

Our wonderful Year 4 children have been exploring the key question ‘What does it mean to be a Hindu in Britain today?’. Throughout their RE lessons, they have been learning how Hindus worship, where they worship and who the Hindu Gods are. They explored the story of Rama and Sita to share about why Diwali is important to Hindus’ They learnt that it is the festival of light and how light shines over all evil.

Year 2

Year 2 were magnificent this week whilst performing their Faith Presentation. In RE, they have been exploring the Islamic faith and presented their learning based on the celebration of Eid. They explained the meaning of Ramadan, shared how Muslims worship and told us facts they had learnt. We were so proud of all of the children’s efforts and attitudes! Well done Year 2!

Reception – Chinese New Year 2024

Reception celebrated all of their Chinese New Year learning with a faith presentation and a dinner party yesterday. Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Year 2 – Eid

Our BIG question this half term has been ” Who is a Muslim and what do they believe?”. We decided to present our learning to the rest of the school and our parents and carers so that they could learn something new as well. We were very lucky to have lots of experts with in Year 2 who shared their own experiences about being a Muslim.

Reception – Chinese New Year
Gung Hay Fat Choy!
After two weeks of learning about Chinese New Year,  Reception shared their new knowledge with us, acted out the Great Race story and sang songs during their faith presentation. Thank you Maple and Oak class.

Year 6 – Sukkot

We presented our learning of  Sukkot (a major Jewish festival) to the rest of the school and our parents and carers. We enjoyed it because we all worked together to do it. It contained a lot of facts which we didn’t know! We all did an amazing job.
