Maths –  Long Term Plan

The Long Term Plan covers each year group and shows what will be taught in each term. Children will cover objectives from the National Curriculum during their topics.

Maths – Calculation Policy

The Calculation Policy details the methods and strategies taught and used for Addition, Subtraction, Mulitplication and Division. It shows which year groups the different methods are taught in. It is essential that children have a deeper understanding of a method before moving on to the next step.

Learn By Hearts

Learn By Heart facts and skills are taken from the National Curriculum. They are skills that are essential for mental calculation and supporting problem sovling. Children from year 1 upwards are tested each week on three Learn By Heart facts from their year group.
